Wearing the decorations
The Netherlands has two Civil Orders, created to honour people of merit. They are the Order of the Netherlands Lion and the Order of Orange-Nassau. Both Orders have their own individual history and character.

It is the task of the Civil Honours Advisory Commission to check the honour nominations on a national basis with the Rules of Procedure and then advise the 'relevant minister' on the nominations. The Commission also advises on the conferral of the Honorary Medal for Charitable Assistance.

If you have received one or more honours, then it is important to know the rules regarding how to wear the decorations.
